My Story
While in college I worked in restaurants and kitchens but my love for the culinary arts started as a kid when my mom found me watching PBS cooking shows like Yan Can Cook and The Galloping Gourmet instead of cartoons. I left my 14-year career in sales and decided to follow my bliss and attended Le Cordon Bleu. I spent my externship working on the Food Section of the Los Angeles Times and then went to work for a cooking school in Hollywood where I taught for 7 years, then I worked at another school in Whittier and most recently I worked as the Resident Chef at the Sur la Table in Costa Mesa, CA.

Teaching cooking classes has always been what I loved doing. My biggest joy as an instructor is when a student comes back after taking some classes and tells me what they cooked at home, how they couldn’t believe they cooked a full meal for their family for the first time, or those aha moments they have in my class when I go over a concept.

I’ve taught thousands of students in my 9 years of teaching cooking classes, and I want to impart to you what I learned in culinary school and teach you the things many students have told me they want to learn. So take a look around and I hope to help take you from novice to confident cook like I have for so many others.
