Serves 4
Ingredients:
Carrots, 1 lb
Butter, 1 tbsp
Salt, 2 tsp
Maple Syrup, 2 tbsp
Whole Grain Mustard, 2 tbsp
Sage, 4 large leaves, sliced
Salt & Pepper to taste
Directions:
Slice carrots the long way. You want long thin slices about 1/4 inch thick, so you might have to cut in half or quarters to achieve this.
Place carrots in a large sauté pan with butter, salt and enough water to come halfway up the carrots. Bring to a boil then reduce to simmer and cook until the carrots are fork tender.
Remove the carrots and set aside, pour any excess water out of the pan. Add maple syrup and cook until thick, only about a minute. Add the carrots, sage and mustard. Make sure carrots are well coated and glazed. Serve hot.
